Based on an agreement between the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the mobile communication company “Bakcell” a joint project has been initiated to facilitate the daily problems of former internally displaced families relocated to the territories liberated from occupation. This is part of the implementation of the “First State Program on the Great Return to the Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan Liberated from Occupation”. On April 22-23, “Bakcell” provided families relocated to the city of Fuzuli with free SIM cards for free calls.

The State Committee reports that in the initial phase, 78 families will benefit from free calls. Each family has been given 2 SIM cards. Former internally displaced persons using these SIM cards will be able to talk to each other for free. It is also planned to increase the number of these SIM cards based on the requests of the former internally displaced persons.

It is worth noting that free SIM cards from “Bakcell” will also be distributed to citizens who were previously relocated to the liberated territories.
