Under the First State Program on the Great Return to the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation, extensive reconstruction work is being done in Karabakh and East Zangazur, and internally displaced people are progressively returning to their homeland. Up till now, five villages that were renovated and reconstructed in the liberated territories have guaranteed the permanent settlement of 1,360 internally displaced families, totaling 5,354 individuals.
Among these is the Zabukh village of Lachin district. The village's social and technological infrastructure has been constructed, and efforts have been made to ensure that its citizens live comfortably. 797 people of Zabukh (207 families) live in their homeland and they all help to revitalize and advance the city.
The State Committee, in collaboration with the residents of Zabukh, produced the following video clip as part of an informational, propaganda, and advocacy effort to bring internally displaced people back to their newly constructed communities. After thirty years of longing, residents finally returned to their hometown and praised President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for providing them with all-encompassing state care. They also wished mercy to our martyrs who perished on this road and patience for their families. They also conveyed their appreciation to the valiant Azerbaijani Army, our gallant warriors and officers, who rescued our nation from occupation.
The State Committee shows a film devoted to the daily lives of permanent residents of Zabukh.
