French journalists were informed about the truths of Azerbaijan

The Deputy Prime Minister, chair of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with a group of French journalists who were on visit to Azerbaijan, on June 21. Issues on development prospects of the relations between our states, Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno Karabakh conflict were discussed, and views related to a number of subjects causing mutual interest were exchanged. Ali Hasanov talked about the history of Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the activities fulfilled for the solution of social problems of refugees and IDPs in our country. It was informed that as a result of the aggression of Armenia, 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands – Nagorno Karabakh and seven adjacent regions were occupied, and more than one million of our fellow-citizens became refugees and IDPs. Mentioning Armenia’s ignoring the resolutions of UN Security Council and other international organizations, Ali Hasanov stated that Azerbaijan supported the solution of the conflict within the rules and principles of international law. Ali Hasanov spoke about the achievements of Azerbaijan and stated that Azerbaijan’s being admitted to UN Security Council as a non-permanent member by having votes of 155 states and hosting “Eurovision-2012” song contest are obvious cases of influence of our republic in the world. Opening of more than one million work places, reduction of poverty in the country and Azerbaijan’s being a state of very fast development in last nine years was brought to the attention of the guests. Then the Deputy Prime Minister answered the questions of French journalists about Azerbaijan-France relations, Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues. The guests expressed their content with fast development and high level of tolerance they observed in Azerbaijan, also stated that they would make efforts for delivering the truths of Azerbaijan to the world community. Then the guests got acquainted with living conditions of refugees and IDPs settled in hostel of Baku Management and Technology College in Darnagul campus and in the complex of nine-storeyed residential buildings constructed in the area of house-building complex in Binagadi district.
