On August 18, the first migration caravan was sent from Gobu Park 3 residential complex of the Garadagh district of Baku to Fuzuli city.
23 families - 90 people temporarily settled in Baku, Sumgait and Absheron districts will now be able to return to their homeland.
Residents of Fuzuli expressed their gratitude to the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for being surrounded by comprehensive state care. They also expressed their gratitude to the brave Azerbaijani Army, and our soldiers and officers who liberated our lands from occupation.
The allocation of houses was determined through a draw adhering to established guidelines for providing new residences to internally displaced persons, ensuring fairness and transparency. Conducted on August 5 at the Repatriation Department of the State Committee, the draw involved 144 families (509 individuals). Considering family composition 51 were granted two-room apartments, 76 received three-room apartments, and 17 were provided with four-room apartments.
Representatives of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the territories of the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha district) liberated from occupation and the Executive power of Fuzuli district, as well as other officials, took part in the departure ceremony.
The process of returning families to Fuzuli will continue in the upcoming days.
