In accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, within the framework of the Great Return, the return of former IDPs to the restored and reconstructed Lachin city continues. On June 19, the next migrant caravan was sent from “Gobu Park 3” residential complex in Garadagh district of Baku to Lachin. At this stage, another 13 families - 44 people were relocated to Lachin city.

The relocated families will settle in the houses they once lived in in Lachin city, which, after the end of the occupation, were restored or rebuilt based on the instructions of the head of state.

As a result of the victory of the brave Azerbaijani army under the leadership of President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-chief Ilham Aliyev, it became possible for IDPs to return to their native lands voluntarily, safely and with dignity after 30 years. Residents of Lachin, which has become more beautiful and renovated, expressed their gratitude to the President, victorious Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, the brave Azerbaijani army that liberated our lands from occupation, our heroic soldiers and officers for being surrounded by comprehensive state care, and commemorated our martyrs who died on this road with great respect.

Officials of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, the special representation of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin region, which is part of the Eastern Zangazur economic region, and the Executive Power of Lachin region took part in the ceremony of sending families to Lachin.

Thus, the permanent residence of 55 families, i.e. 213 people, was provided in Lachin city.
