Construction of residential quarters for the resettlement of internally displaced

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Mr. Ali Hasanov got acquainted with the construction work of quarters consisting of residential apartments constructed for Internally Displaced Persons’ families in Masazir settlement of Absheron district on May 14. 13 five – storey building is under construction in the quarter constructed for 760 Internally Displaced Persons’ families. There will be constructed school for 540 pupils, 280-bed children's garden, club- community center, medical center, as well as administrative and postal building in the quarter. The quarter will be fully equipped with gas, water, electricity, central heating system. The construction of parks, sport grounds are also intended in the quarter involving 359 employees to its construction. Chairman of Committee, Mr. Ali Hasanov met with the heads of companies engaged in construction work and gave information to them about the measures implemented in accordance with the direction on the improvement of living conditions of internally displaced persons in our country. He also stated that funds intended for internally displaced persons were increased by 2.5 times in the current year. Currently, construction works are being carried out in accordance with the living conditions of internally displaced persons in approximately 10 regions of Azerbaijan. Deputy Prime Minister stated that resettlement of refugees and internally displaced persons is priority issue that our country is facing. He also noted that strategies established by President Ilham Aliyev, as well as, the tasks arising from the attention and care of head of state to refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in the direction of solving these problems at a high level should be fulfilled ahead of time and with quality. Chairman of Committee gave instructions on carrying out the construction works in the quarter at high level.
