Deputies of European Parliament, who are on visit to Azerbaijan, interested in conditions of IDPs.

Deputies of European Parliament Bas Eickhout, Dan Jorgensen, Norbert Neuser, who are on visit to Azerbaijan, member of Belgian Parliament Alain Destexhe and others met with IDPs settled in Baku and took interest in their conditions. The guests visiting the hostel № 1 of Baku Management and Technology College in Binagadi district, were given information about the hard living conditions of IDPs’ in this hostel, who were driven out of their native lands as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The guests were informed that new settlements in different cities and regions of the country were made for families of refugees and IDPs, as well as more than 100 thousand compatriots moved to new houses, educational, health, communication and cultural centers were built, and appropriate infrastructure was created. Activities on settlement of social problems, improvement of housing and living conditions of refugees and IDPs continue at present, new buildings are constructed, estates are set up. Abbas Aliyev, IDP of Fuzuli region talked about their hard living for 20 years, and their wishes to return to their native lands. European deputies stated that they understood IDPs’ conditions very well, and that their problems would be considered at European Parliament.
