The Chairman of the republic commission on International humanitarian assistance met with leaders of local and international humanitarian organizations.

The Deputy Prime Minister the Chairman of State Refugee Committee and the Republic Commission on International Humanitarian Assistance Mr. Ali Hasanov met with chiefs of leading local and international humanitarian organizations operating in Azerbaijan. Mr. Ali Hasanov mentioned that during last 15 years international humanitarian organizations completed great job in our country by providing humanitarian assistance to the refugees and internally displaced persons affected as a result of Azerbaijan-Armenia, Nogorno Karabakh conflict. Without this assistance our country would face with humanitarian catastrophe. Mr. Ali Hasanov emphasized that in 2002 a new process in the format of humanitarian assistance started in our country- non-bank credit institutions establishment process started. The Azerbaiajni Government supported this process and created best conditions for activities of those organizations. There were issued documents (decrees) on exemption of those organizations from all taxes and dues. It is indicated on the certificates given to those organizations that they do not have authority to do commercial activities. However, during last year some international non-bank credit organizations changed their status and started doing commercial activities. Though, they are obliged to agree on any changes in their activities with Republic Commission on International Humanitarian and relevant ministries. In order to normalize the situation these organizations were offered to take measures in short time. After, representatives of foreign and local non-bank credit organizations expressed their opinions on the discussed issue. The Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Togrul Musayev, the Deputy Minister of Taxes Mr. Natiq Amirov and chiefs of different ministries’ offices and authorized employees of ministries took part in the meeting.
