A memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed between the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) and the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs (QMKIDK) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The memorandum was signed by Vugar Gurbanov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TABIB, and Fuad Huseynov, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee.
The memorandum defines the cooperation framework and coordination procedures for the establishment and development of mutually beneficial, long-term, effective relations between the parties in the field of work with IDPs in connection with the return to territories liberated from occupation.
Vugar Gurbanov, acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of TABIB, said that the return of our citizens displaced from their ancestral homes to their homeland is a great historical event. V. Gurbanov said that in the process of meetings, consultations and negotiations between the parties, other forms of mutual cooperation in the field of work with IDPs can be considered. He noted that mutual cooperation will continue in the direction of providing access to medical services for citizens returning to their homeland. He emphasized that general examinations and checks, as well as laboratory, instrumental and other medical examinations of the relocated persons are carried out on the basis of voluntary principles:
“A family health center (medical center) meeting modern standards is ready for use in Aghali village of Zangilan region. The medical staff of the family health center will be transferred to Aghali from July 26. Currently, the emergency and urgent medical assistance brigade is serving the residents”.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Fuad Huseynov, said that IDPs are always surrounded by the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, and important measures have been taken to solve their social problems. A favorable living environment has been created for the permanent settlement of residents in the liberated territories. Works are being carried out in the direction of the voluntary, safe and dignified return of IDPs to their homelands. The State Committee has already completed the first stage of the relocation of the residents of Aghali village of Zangilan region to new residential areas. 41 families - 201 residents of Aghali were relocated to their native land.
Restoring and rebuilding the occupied territories, turning these places into the most prosperous corners, and at the same time ensuring the comfortable and safe living of the returning IDPs are among the priorities of the state, and support measures for them will continue. So, according to the current legislation, the social protection measures intended for IDPs are valid for three years from the time when the conditions for their return to their previous residential places are created.
For information, it should be noted that TABIB will organize a general medical examination of the persons relocated to the liberated territories within the framework of the memorandum, as well as immunization of children against various infectious diseases according to the approved Vaccination Schedule.
The term of the memorandum will continue for three consecutive years from the date of its signing.
