Internally displaced residents of “Gobu Park” residential complex at Garadagh district of Baku uniquely supported the international campaign “Justice for Khojali” initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, the Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
On February 25, at night, words and digits reminding Khojali genocide were written on the facade of the buildings by turning on and off the lights on the windows.
Thus, IDPs expressed their respect for the victims of the genocide by showing solidarity and unity. The light flashing from facades of the buildings reflected the words JUSTICE FOR KHOJALI, and 26.02.1992, 613, 28 accordingly indicating the date of the genocide, numbers of victims and the years have passed since the genocide.
The video of this light memory campaign organized in “Gobu Park” with support the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs was posted on media and social networks.
