On January 17, the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs held again a voluntary blood donation action with the slogan “Ganimiz bir janimiz bir” (our blood and our soul are the one and same) on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of January 20 tragedy. The purpose of the action is to help protect the health of our soldiers who stand at the forefront of the fight for the territorial integrity of our country.
The action was carried out by the brigade consisting of 13 doctors of the Military Blood Transfusion Station of the Ministry of Defense. More than 100 employees of the State Committee, IDPs, volunteers working at the State Committee and others donated blood as volunteer donors within the action.
Collected blood samples will be checked at the Military Blood Transfusion Station and then used for the treatment of patients. The participants said that it is a kind and good deed to donate blood to protect the health of our soldiers serving at the forefront. They stated that it is a civic duty to attend such actions.
The State Committee also started “Esgere salam” (Hello to soldier) action today. The purpose of the action, which will last until February 2 - Youth Day is to demonstrate the solidarity of various members of the community, along with participants of the Volunteer Movement with personnel of the Armed Forces in the “Year of Volunteers”. Those who wish to join the action can collectively take pictures with the pose of military greeting and share them in social networks with #esgeresalam #dovletqacqinkom.
It should be reminded that the State Committee held the first blood donation action on January 19 last year with the slogan “Ganimiz bir janimiz bir” (our blood and our soul are the one and same) together with the Ministry of Defense.
