The next board meeting was held at the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Initially, measures to be taken regarding implementation of instructions given by the President Ilham Aliyev were determined at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the socio-economic development of the first quarter of this year and forthcoming tasks. 

Later, the work carried out regarding relocation of IDPs from damaged temporary shelters and forthcoming tasks, current state of the facilities under construction by the order of Social Development Fund for IDPs (IDPSDF) and the projects planned to be implemented, employment, migration and status issues, the work done on receipt of citizens and their appeals, the discipline of execution, maintenance condition of the housing fund at the balance of the Housing Maintenance Department, and other issues were discussed.

Noting that the dynamic development of our country is successfully continuing as a result of the reforms made under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev, Chairman of the State Committee Rovshan Rzayev said that this great development allowed improving the welfare of the country citizens, including IDPs, and accelerating settlement of their social problems. The head of our state once again stated that the settlement of IDPs` problems is one of the top priorities and gave instructions to expand the construction of new residential complexes for citizens of this category. The facts that the head of state pointed out the importance of ensuring the principle of justice in the activities carried out to improve the housing and living conditions of IDPs and that today this principle is ensured impose a great commitment on the State Committee.    

Discussions were made on the work carried out in the first quarter of this year regarding the relocation of IDPs from damaged shelters to new apartments, encountered difficulties and participants were informed about the projects to be implemented in 2019-2020 to improve their housing and living conditions. 

In addition, instructions were given to the relevant structures of the State Committee on completion of the work on development of a single electronic database for IDPs registration and increase of employment opportunities for citizens from this category, further improvement of the work on receipt of citizens and consideration of their appeals, specific measures were identified for the proper use of the housing fund in accordance with law, and decisions were made on other current issues on the agenda.
