Relocation to the new residential complex in Sumgait begins

Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan pays constant attention to solution of the problems of IDPs and takes necessary measures to improve the housing and living conditions of the citizens of this category. According to the instruction of the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, internally displaced families living under the most severe conditions and in damaged buildings in Baku and Sumgait are provided with new apartments in the first place. At present, relocation of IDPs to the new residential buildings for 1000 families in Absheron district and for 300 in Umid settlement in Garadagh district continues. The residential complex consisting of 1005 apartments, which was built in the center of Sumgait, at Koroghlu Avenue and the opening ceremony of which was held with the participation of the President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva on December 27 of the last year will also be put into use for IDPs. The first drawing on the distribution of new apartments was held on February 22 in the House of Culture named after N.Narimanov. Representatives of internally displaced families determined the No. of building and apartment based on existing rules over the number of rooms pre-allocated for them. A few days later, relocation of families to new apartments will begin. Noting that they are satisfied with the distribution of apartments transparently based on the existing legislation and social justice principles, IDP Yetar Guliyeva from Jabrayil, Taleh Abdullayev from Lachin, Namazali Dunyamaliyev from Gubadli and others who attended the drawing expressed their gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, who pays attention and care for improvement of their housing and living conditions. It should be noted that all the apartments in the complex are fully repaired and supplied with kitchen furniture and gas stove. In addition, centralized internet and television network were installed in the apartments. There are two recreational places, children's playground for the residents to spend their leisure time efficiently in the territory of the residential complex. Renovation and planting of greenery works were carried out in 67% of the total area of the complex. Since this complex is located in the center of Sumgait, it was built in compliance with architectural style of the city, special attention was paid to the facades of buildings and windows of different styles were installed.
