Improvement of housing and living conditions of the citizens in special need of social protection, including IDPs in Azerbaijan is of the important aspects of the state policy. As the President Ilham Aliyev stated, purposeful measures are being taken consistently in this area. In recent years, the number of IDPs provided with new houses or apartments has increased. And particular attention is being paid to the solution of the problems of internally displaced families living under the most severe conditions in Baku and Sumgait. Implementation of the instruction givens by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva in this respect continued.
On February 7, relocation of internally displaced families living under severe conditions and in damaged buildings to apartments in the modern residential complex newly put into use in Absheron district started.
Internally displaced families were relocated to the fully repaired apartments supplied with kitchen furniture. Moreover, the apartments have centralized internet and television network.
IDPs relocated to new apartments in the residential complex built at the expense of state funds thanked the President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for their attention and care.
It should me mentioned that 77 out of 1000 apartments in the complex are one-room, 420 are two-room, 406 are three-room and 96 are four-room. Large scale renovation and landscaping work was performed in the area. The settlement was provided with all necessary infrastructure facilities.
