This year 146 internally displaced families will be provided with new apartments in Beylagan

A new residential complex with all the necessary social and technical infrastructures is being built for internally displaced families temporarily settled in Beylagan. Construction of the complex is carried out in accordance with the “Appendices” made to the Decree dated on February 21, 2011 to the “State Program on Improvement of Living Conditions and Increasing the Employment of Refugees and IDPs” approved by the Decree dated on July 1, 2004 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Gorkhmaz Karimov, the technical supervisor of the Social Development Fund for IDPs, told AZERTAC`s regional correspondent that 30 hectares of land was allocated for construction of the settlement to be consisted of 146 houses. Twelve of the apartments are one-room, 73 are two-room, 54 are three-room and 7 are four-room. In addition, a school building for 150 students, a kindergarten for 50 children, a medical center, a club-community center and an administrative building are also being constructed in that area. Each of the houses in the settlement will have a sanitary junction and 12 acre of courtyard. Masonry works have already been completed in 50 houses and 25 were roofed. At present, iron-concrete, masonry and plastering works are being carried out in other houses, in the school, kindergarten, club-community center and administrative building. Infrastructure works are also being carried out in the settlement. Construction of one of the two potable water reservoirs, each of which is 300 cubic meters, has been completed, two subartesian wells have been drilled and an electric substation has been built. Potable water, gas, electricity, communication lines will be built in the residential complex, intra-settlement roads will be coated with asphalt, ditches will be built for rain water draining, renovation and planting of greenery works will be carried out. 9 companies are involved in construction work. More than 300 workers mainly comprising local habitants and IDPs work and approximately 20 technical equipment is used therein. Construction work is expected to be completed in April.
