Staff of the State Committee visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev

On December 12, the staff of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor. The memory of Heydar Aliyev, the world-famous political figure, founder of the independent Azerbaijan, is dear to every Azerbaijani. Refugees and IDPs who had to left their homeland as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have always felt the care and attention of the Great Leader. The first state program was made and implemented to address the problems of refugees and IDPs at his initiative and guidance. Our prominent President Mr. Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the state policy established by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the field of work with refugees and IDPs. Complex measures are being determined and undertaken to ensure the improvement of living conditions and increasing of employment of our citizens from this sensitive category. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva personally keeps the instruction given by her about accelerating the relocation of IDPs still living in severe conditions to new apartments under control. At present, preparatory works are being carried out for building new residential complexes for 300 internally displaced families in “Umid” settlement, Garadagh district, Baku city, 810 near Kurdakhani in Sabunchu district, and 1000 in both Absheron district and Sumgait city. Upon commissioning of these new complexes, the number of internally displaced families provided with new apartments or houses over the last one year will reach 5700 (approximately 30 thousand people). So the number of IDPs whose housing and living conditions are drastically improved thanks to the care and attention of our state will be about 300 thousand (55 thousand families). Measures taken in this direction are consistent. The staff of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs commemorated the National Leader Heydar Aliyev with deep respect and laid flowers at his grave.
