Fire accident happened in the sanatorium temporarily settled by IDPs in Mammad Amin Rasulzada settlement of Binagadi district on November 13. Relevant emergency teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations State Fire Control and Special Risk Rescue services were involved in the scene. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 132-square meter part of rooms and wooden partitions, 168 of corridors and 20 of roof were burned on the third floor of the building with a total area of 3600 square meters and the remainder was protected from fire. Fire was extinguished by firefighters. As a result of the fire, the temporary shelter of 46 internally displaced families became unusable. 15 tents, equipped with bed and appropriate equipment, were installed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations for temporary accommodation. The Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, Head of Binagadi District Executive Power, responsible officers of the committee and executive power were at the scene and took appropriate measures together to solve the problem. The State Committee carried out a census, and it was decided to accommodate 46 families, who were deprived of temporary accommodation due to the fire in rented apartments. The causes of the fire are being investigated by specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Upon completion of the investigation, the final opinion will be given. Relevant legal measures will be taken based on the opinion.
