Drawing of lots for relocation of 132 IDP families living in damaged buildings to new apartments was held

On July 24, the drawing ceremony was held in the assembly hall of Narimanov District Executive Power for relocation of IDPs temporarily settled in damaged, life-threatening buildings to the completely repaired new apartments at “Gobu Park” residential complex located at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district. It was noted that members of the commission established in the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, responsible persons of Narimanov District Executive Power, deputy heads of the executive powers of occupied regions and representatives of IDP communities attended the drawing ceremony. The scale and significance of measures taken to improve the living conditions of IDPs in our country were underlined at the event. The conditions created for IDPs at “Gobu Park” residential complex located at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district were discussed, and the purpose and conditions of the drawing were informed. It was noted that the issue of relocation of IDPs still living under severe conditions, in damaged and useless buildings in Baku and Sumgait to new apartments was considered and serious instructions were given related to the relocation of 4 thousand families at the consultation held last year under the chairmanship of the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. Shortly after this, the groundbreaking ceremony of “Gobu Park” residential complex was held at Lokbatan settlement, Garadagh district at request of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and construction works were completed here within a short time. IDP families temporarily living under the most severe conditions, in damaged buildings, particularly in basements in Baku have been started to relocate to that complex starting from July 9 of this year. It was noted that 132 IDP families living in dormitories at Mayakovski, 8/9, 10” and “Ziya Bunyadov, 30” in Narimanov district, and attended the drawing ceremony will be relocated to that settlement as well. Internally displaced families drew lots one by one and determined which building and which number of apartment they would live in per the number of pre-reserved rooms at “Gobu Park” residential complex. IDPs who attended the drawing ceremony – Kamil Hajiyev (Fuzuli region), Murshud Safarov (Zangilan region), Hagigat Teymurova (Aghdam region) and others highly appreciated the special state attention and care shown to them, expressed their endless happiness about relocation to the completely repaired new apartments supplied with necessary infrastructure and moved to with fully renovated apartments and expressed deep gratitude to the President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for their attention and care.
