Turkey's TRT World channel staff met with IDPs

Turkey's TRT World channel staff and Andrew Hopkins visiting the country familiarized with the living conditions of IDPs settled in the dormitory of Azerbaijan Technical University in Yasamal district, accompanied by Fuad Huseynov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs. Fuad Huseynov gave detailed information to the delegation about our compatriots who have been living as IDP for many years as a result of Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. It was mentioned that Azerbaijan has been subjected to military aggression by Armenia as a result of the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. As a result, 20 percent of our lands - Nagorno Karabakh and 7 surrounding areas have been occupied, ethnic cleansing policy has been undertaken in these areas, and over one million people have become refugees and IDPs. From this point of view, the importance of strengthening and restoring the attention of international organizations to ensuring the violated human rights of our compatriots who became refugees and IDPs as a result of the occupation of our lands by Armenia. The guests have also been informed in detail about the work done by the Azerbaijani government in solving the problems of the IDPs. It was highlighted that the first source of successful oil strategy, founded by our National Leader Heydar Aliyev, has been aimed at improving the living conditions of people from this category. This humanist policy, founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is successfully continuing by Ilham Aliyev, the head of the state and Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Vice-President at present. Then the guests have visited the room of the IDP from Fuzuli Khatira Adigozalova and talked to the family. At the meeting, Turkey's TRT World channel employee Andrew Hopkins has expressed his gratitude for the detailed information, expressed the need to solve the conflict soon and restore the rights of IDPs. He highly appreciated Azerbaijan's efforts related to solving the problems of the refugees and IDPs. Turkey's TRT World channel has already released a report on this meeting with IDPs.
