24 years homesickness of people from Jojug Marjanli is ending

Resettlement of residents of Jojug Marjanli, who have new homes in their native village in the settlement built here. In accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on restoration of liberated Jojug Marjanli village of Jarbail region, the houses built have been delivered through drawing among the IDPs who will live in the settlement. On July 3, the meeting of the commission created in the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs related to the resettlement of IDPs from Jojug Marjanli in their native lands was held. Deputy State Committee Chairman and the chair person of the Commission Garay Farhadov made a speech and mentioned that, Jojug Marjanli was liberated by the successful Horadiz operation on January 6, 1994 still during the reign of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. But it was impossible to live in the village since Lalatapa hill was under enemy’s control. The liberation of Lalatapa hill in the April war 2016 which was written in golden letters in our war history eliminated the current threat. Immediately after that, the President Ilham Aliyev signed Order on the restoration of Jojug Marjanli village. Builders started construction of the village without losing time. Firstly, 50 apartments and a school building for 100 students were built. Beginning on March 20 construction works were completed on May 20. 20 out of 50 houses built in the settlement are two-room, 25 three-room and 5 four-room. Water, gas, electricity, telephone lines were installed and a water reservoir was built. Street lighting system was installed, settlement roads were asphalted. In accordance with the instructions of the President, and a mosque similar to Shusha mosque was built in the settlement. Making a speech at the meeting, the head of Jabrail Region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov, Jojug Marjanli village Executive Representative Khanlar Zeynalov, residents of the village Avchi Mammadov, Gulkhanim Haziyeva and others expressed their gratitude to the President for ending their homesickness. After the speeches, the draw ceremony was held. 50 family members form Jojug Marjanli drew lots in turn and had new apartments. Chairman of the Commission Garay Farhadov reported that the resettlement works have already been completed and the process will start tomorrow.
