Martin Chungong: Inter-Parliamentary Alliance recognizes Azerbaijan’s sovereign right over Nagorno-Karabakh

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov met with the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Martin Chungong on June 16. At the meeting the visitors have been informed in detail about the most painful problem of Azerbaijan Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, works done by our state to eliminate the problems of more than one million Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs. Stating that Armenia-Azerbaijan problem is not the new conflict, the Deputy Prime Minister said that Armenians have Diasporas all over the world. Armenians occupied the most important state positions in the post-Soviet period. Using these opportunities, they invaded the Azerbaijani lands regularly. Armenians had been settled in the historical lands of Azerbaijan since the period of the Tsarist Russia. Then they established a state in these lands. The Chairman of the Committee also talked about migrant problem in Europe. He noted that Europe with a population of 600 million cannot cope with the problem of one million migrants. At the beginning of the conflict, Azerbaijan had only 7 million inhabitants. However our country makes every effort to settle problems of refugees and IDPs. And the Europe that is unable to solve the migrant problem wants to "teach" democracy in Azerbaijan. Expressing his gratitude due to the detailed information, Martin Chungong highly appreciated the works done by Azerbaijani government to solve the refugees and IDPs. And the visitor added: “But we shouldn’t forget that these people live with the desire to return to their native lands, even if much attention is paid to people.”
