A valuable contribution to Jojug Marjanli's schoolchildren

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev reviewed a newly built 96-student school during his visit to Jojug Marjanli. The President, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev firstly met with the Minister of Defence Zakir Hasanov, Head of General Staff Najmaddin Sadikhov and the second corps commander Mayis Barkhudarov. Then the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov and the Head of Jabrail region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov informed the President Ilham Aliyev that, as a result of the works done by the Social Fund for Development of IDPs, street lighting system was installed in the village, water, gas, telephone lines were laid, subartesian well was drilled and reservoir of 100 cubic meters of water reservoir was built. The roads and pavements were asphalted and landscape gardening works were carried out. A new substation meeting modern standards was built in the village. A New Compact Transformer Point and a transformer for the subartesian well were installed. Therefore, Jojug Marjanli passed into history as the 96th settlement in number built for refugees and IDPs and the first residential settlement where IDPs were returned to their native lands. Note that, 400 households, 1428 residents are currently registered in Jojug Marjanli village. Most of the residents of the village were densely populated in IDP settlements in the territory of Bilasuvar region. More than 250 of those families temporarily living in 17 cities and regions of the country applied, and said that they wish to return back to their native lands. Photo stands in the school describing the previous situation of Jabrail before occupation, well-known figures of the region, graduates of the region who entered higher schools with high scores, vandalism, savagery committed in the village by Armenians, Haziyevs family who hasn’t left the village for 23 years and visits of foreign media representatives, heads of diplomatic corps and international organizations to Jojug Marjanli on the instructions of the President Ilham Aliyev creates a full impression on the village. A bust of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, photo stand reflecting care and attention of the great leader to the IDPs were placed in the school foyer. The stands describing successful April war of the brave Azerbaijani Army, images of Jojug Marjanli village before and after the restoration were placed in the entrance. School building consisting of classrooms, informatics, military defence and teacher’s rooms was supplied with necessary inventory and equipment, heating system and Internet.
