On June 7, fire which burned down the apartments of 16 IDP families, occurred in the dormitory No. 3 of Azerbaijan Technical University located at 1 Sharifzade Street, Yasamal district of Baku city. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov informed the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev about the fire and all measures taken are under the control of the President.
On June 8, a meeting was held in Yasamal district Executive Power under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov. Head of Yasamal district Executive Power Ibrahim Mehdiyev, officials of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and affected IDPs attended the meeting.
After the discussions with IDPs at the meetings, it has been decided that the burnt apartments will be repaired in a short period. And the residents will be provided with financial aid for temporarily residing in rented apartments.
At the same time, a commission has been established with the participation of the representatives of relevant agencies and IDPs by the Order of the Chairman of the Committee in order to investigate the damage caused to the IDPs. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov gave instructions to the relevant offices to repair the burned apartments in a short period.
