On May 4, Nurit Greenger, the reporter of USA newspaper “Jerusalem Post” who visited our country reviewed the conditions created in the settlement for IDPs in Absheron district, Masazir. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Garay Farhadov and the head of Zangilan region Executive Power Ramiz Hasanov thanked him for visiting the settlement to review all the conditions created by Azerbaijan Republic for our compatriots who have been living as internally displaced persons for many years as a result of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It was mentioned that Azerbaijan has been attacked by Armenia as a result of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict. And as a result, 20 percent of our lands- our historical lands Nagorno Karabakh and surrounding 7 regions have been occupied, ethnic cleansing has been carried out in these territories and more than one million people have become refugees and IDPs. After that the guest reviewed the conditions created in 540-seat Zangilan region senior secondary school No. 33, 280-seat kindergarten in the settlement and the learning process of students in the separate classrooms of the school and kindergarten and watched the dances and songs performed by children. The guest also exchanged views with the members of teaching staff and kindergarten teachers. During the meeting it was stated that today Azerbaijan government provides comprehensive care for its citizens living as an IDP and regularly focuses on the solution of their problems. The conditions created in this settlement also approve this. However, in spite of all these, every IDP lives with the desire to return to their native lands. Expressing satisfaction with all the conditions created both in the settlement and in the school and kindergarten, foreign reporter expressed the necessity of the solution of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict based on the norms and principles of international law, the return of the refugees and IDPs to their native lands during the meeting, and the press agencies which they are represented also highlighted that they will make use of the opportunities to inform their countries and international community about Azerbaijan realities.
