Deputy Prime Minister inspected the construction work in residential quarter built for IDPs in Tartar

On March 31, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov inspected the construction processes in the residential quarter built for IDPs in Tartar region. Deputy Prime Minister reviewed the construction area together with the directors of companies involved in the construction of residential quarter and gave specific instructions related to the timely and high quality completion of the works. It was noted that in connection with the fulfilment of paragraph 1.7. of “Annexes” made by Order dated February 21, 2011 to the “State Program for improvement of living conditions of refugees and IDPs and increasing their employment” approved by the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic dated July 1, 2004, the works are continued in the residential quarter along with the all significant social and technical infrastructure in order to improve housing conditions of 1176 IDP families. Based on the project, 34 residential buildings each being 4-floor, 1200-seat school, 280-seat kindergarten, music school, medical center, administrative building, club community center, Automatic Telephone Station will be built in the residential quarter. 120 apartments in the building will be one-room, 504 two-room, 472 three-room and 80 four-room. Residential quarter will be fully supplied with natural gas, electricity, modern heating system. It is planned to complete the construction works in the quarter until September of this month. Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov visited Shikharkh settlement of Tartar region after that, met with IDPs settled here and inspected the construction of private houses built for them. It was noted that 78 destroyed houses of IDP families resided in the territories of Shikharkh, Chayli, Hasangaya, Buruj and Askipara villages of Tartar region as a result of fire of Armenian armed forces are restored. Masonry work of the houses has been completed currently. 47 houses were roofed and completion works are carried out. The residents expressed their gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan Republic for his attention and care duly. While in Skikharkh village, Ali Hasanov also reviewed “Maragha-150” monument which was destroyed by a large part by Armenians. This monument was built by Armenians in 1978 on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the resettlement of Armenians from Maragha, Iran to Karabakh after Treaty of Turkmenchay concluded in 1828 between Russia and Iran. “Maragha-150” monument was intentionally destroyed by Armenians when the next territorial claims started against Azerbaijan at the end of the twentieth century. Deputy Prime Minister said that the monument which is a consistent means to expose Armenian insidiousness and lies is of an important political significance. And he stressed the importance of showing the monument to the people visiting our country and representatives of the foreign press.
