Relations between Azerbaijan and the Northern European and the Baltic countries are at the highest level

A meeting was held in the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs with the representatives of the Azerbaijan-Northern-Baltic Cooperation Fund. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Fuad Huseynov met with the delegation of Azerbaijan-Northern-Baltic Cooperation Fund led by the Chairman of Estonia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group who visited the country on February 28 Einar Valbaum. The relations of the countries being part of the Fund and Estonia with Azerbaijan are developing steadily after the independence of both countries. Today our countries have great potential for expansion of cooperation in various fields. It was noted that, in spite of the decisions and resolutions of UN Security Council, OSCE, PACE, OIC, the European parliament and other organizations denouncing Armenia’s expansionist policy and demanding the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the occupying forces from the occupied Azerbaijani lands, the occupant country ignores all these. And all these are the clear proof of double standards to resolve the conflict. Despite this, noting with confidence that Azerbaijan will not accept the fact of the remain in occupation of its lands, restore its territorial integrity by all means, start comprehensive reconstruction works in the liberated lands, Deputy Chairman of the Committee said that all these will be realized as a small example of “Great Return” in the example of liberated Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrail region under the leadership of the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Noting that the Northern European and the Baltic countries will also support Azerbaijan’s just position after this, the guests stressed the importance of the resolution of conflict soon and called Khojaly tragedy the inhuman crime in the history of mankind. At the meeting, the other issues of mutual interest on the activities of Azerbaijan-Northern-Baltic Cooperation Fund, development of relations between our countries in various fields, strengthening of relations in international organizations were also discussed. At the end of the meeting, a book entitled “Care of the President to the Refugees and IDPs” and a book entitled “Khojaly Genocide” on the care of the President of Azerbaijan Republic to the refugees and IDPs were submitted to the guests by the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs.
