Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on deals of Refugees and IDPs, Chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Ali Hasanov received newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Erkan Ozoral of the Republic of Turkey to the country on November 25. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov stated that, high level of relations between leaders and people of two friendly and brotherly counties are based on historical roots. National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev gave special importance to the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations and made particular measures to strengthen these relations day by day. Especially during the occupation of our lands, Turkey gave a great support to the provision of social welfare, security of our residents living in Nakhchivan and we mustn’t forget humanitarian aids provided for refugees and IDPs in our country later. Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said: “Turkey ever supported Azerbaijan to eliminate severe consequences of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the just cause of our country in the international arena”. Today Turkish and Muslim world should fight together against Armenian aggressors. Unfortunately, there is injustice in the world today. In such situation, there is serious need for solidarity and cooperation of Muslim counties. There are the greatest Muslim counties like Iran and Turkey in the world and Azerbaijan held a worthy place in international arena in the last 20 years. I think that, the more solidarity between Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan strengthens, this will be useful for both the region and our countries. If this solidarity is stronger, the approach to as will change. Some world counties are envious of our relations, and they always try to harm the solidarity among these Muslim counties. However we know that, it is impossible to cause a fit among these people and countries. These counties and people should avoid it.” Ali Hasanov noted that although Armenia was managed and protected from four places, April wars showed that, the army of Azerbaijan may liberate lands by the order of Commander in Chief anytime. The sooner Armenians realize this, this is good for them. Stating that Azerbaijan was concerned about the latest events in the brotherly Republic of Turkey, as well as problems between Russia and Turkey, Ali Hasanov also said that improvement of relations between Turkey and Russia was important for whole region, including our country. Newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Erkan Ozoral of the Republic of Turkey to the country expressed his gratitude for reception and comprehensive information. In turn, he emphasized that there were very good relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and said that these relations had strategic partnership and were based on brotherly relations. He, stated that support provided by President Ilham Aliyev during coup d'état in Turkey on July 15 was highly appreciated by whole the Turkish people. The Turkish diplomat said that he was proud of starting to work as an ambassador to Azerbaijan and stated that he would try to always reach brotherly relations with Azerbaijan the higher level. Expressing that he was solidary with thoughts addressed on bilateral relations, diplomat said that remaining of Azerbaijani lands under occupation wasn’t good for Turkey, it was important to resolve the conflict peacefully as soon as possible. At the same time he mentioned that Turkey ever supported Azerbaijan and we should resolve our problems together.
