On April 1, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden who is visiting our country Ms. Ingrid Tersman has met with the internally displaced persons resided in the dormitory of Azerbaijan Technical University and the neighborhood built for the internally displaced persons in Masazir settlement of Absheron district in order to be familiar with the real state of internally displaced persons in the country in place accompanied by the deputy chairman of State Committee on Deals of the Refugees and Internally displaced persons Fuad Huseynov and has got acquainted with their living conditions in place. Firstly, the guest who visited the dormitory of Azerbaijan Technical University in Yasamal district has been informed on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Kharabag conflict and the problem on more than 1 million 200 thousand refugees and internally displaced persons which our country has faced as a result of the conflict and the broad measures taken by the government of Azerbaijan to solve this problem. After that the diplomat has reviewed the condition in the dormitory. Sharing her impressions the diplomat expressed her regret about the miserable situation here. Expressing that she understands well what it means to live as an internally displaced person, the guest has stated that it is important to solve the problem as soon as possible and to return the persons living in this situation to their native lands. Ms. diplomat has been informed that, there are still internally displaced persons who live in such a difficult conditions. According to the State Program confirmed by the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Republic and Annexes to it, the relevant measures are taken step by step for the improvement of their social, housing and living conditions. Then, the ambassador has visited the neighborhood built for 760 internally displaced families in Masazir settlement of Absheron district. The visitors have inquired about the conditions created for the education of pupils in the secondary school No.33 in the neighborhood. It was stated that, all conditions have been created for higher education in the 540-seat school. The visitors have viewed the computer room of the school and also have got acquainted with educational process. After that the ambassador has also got acquainted with 280-seat kindergarten built in the neighborhood. It was informed that, the kindergarten has been equipped with the necessary equipment for training and education of children. Ms. Ingrid Tersman has also inquired with the living conditions of internally displaced families here and has also got acquainted with conditions created in the apartment of internally displaced person from Zangilan region Vali Guliyev. The host has talked about the higher conditions created for the internally displaced persons in the neighborhood and has highlighted that their biggest dream is to return back to their native lands. Expressing her regret about the continuation of problem on the refugees and internally displaced persons yet, the diplomat has highlighted that being familiar with the living conditions of internally displaced persons makes an important role for her and stated that the resolution of the conflict as soon as possible will provide an opportunity for the people to return back to their native lands and to put an end to the intolerable living conditions of people. For this reason, the countries and international organizations dealing with the issue should increase their efforts.
