Future cooperative relationships have been discussed with Korean diplomat
Mətbuat xidmətinin məlumatı 03 December, 2015
The Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, Chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Assistance Mr. Ali Hasanov has met with newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Korea to Azerbaijan Kim Chang-gyu on December 2. Congratulating the ambassador on the occasion of appointment at the meeting held for the purpose of acquaintance, Ali Hasanov has wished him success in his work in Azerbaijan and he expressed his belief that this appointment will make an important role in the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Korea, for the benefit of our countries and people. By emphasizing that our country has faced with a serious problem like Azerbaijan-Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict after gaining independence and no progress has been achieved to solve the problem up to now, Ali Hasanov has expressed his regret that the world community and powerful states don’t use their influence and pressure opportunities against the occupant Armenia and condone to restore the truth and justice. It was stated that Armenia, which has occupied 20% of Azerbaijan lands, has plundered our national and cultural wealth and the all the infrastructure has been destroyed. Armenia ignores the resolutions and decisions adopted by the UN Security Council and other international organizations on the conflict. The negotiations of the OSCE Minsk Group for the resolution of problem have not produced any result. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed that, the achievements of our country would be even greater if our lands have not been occupied and if we haven’t faced with refugees and internally displaced persons problem. Today the European countries are helpless in front of 400-500 thousands of refugees. Let’s think which problems the refugees face in those countries. All the rights of these people have been completely violated, but Europe wants to give a democracy lesson to us. Then how does Azerbaijan with a population of 10 million overcome with 1 million 200 thousand refugees and internally displaced persons? The works done by the President of Azerbaijan in this direction is an example for the whole world. Expressing his gratitude for the warm reception and comprehensive information, Korean diplomat has stated that he believes economic relations between the two countries will rapidly develop in the coming years. Highlighting that his country has always gave a special attention to the resolution of Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the improvement of living conditions of refugees and internally displaced persons and returning them to their native lands, diplomat has highly appreciated the rapid economic development in Azerbaijan, having a great reputation of Azerbaijan the international community in a short time and works done for the improvement of the social conditions of refugees and IDPs and has mentioned his hope that more Korean companies will operate in Azerbaijan in the future.
