Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs resolutely disapprove the European Parliament's biased resolution

An application to the European Parliament has been accepted on behalf of refugees and IDPs living in Azerbaijan in the event held in connection with the discussion of biased resolution about our country adopted by the European Parliament, in the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on September 14. It is addressed as follows: "We, address to you on behalf of more than two thousand refugees and IDPs forcibly expelled from their native lands as a result of Armenian's expansionist policy implemented against Azerbaijan. We, refugees and IDPs in Azerbaijan, resolutely disapprove the resolution adopted by the European Parliament about Azerbaijan in September 10, 2015 and we think that it is unfair and biased. We think that, such unfair attitude to Azerbaijan is the next ugly campaign deliberately organized by not only the European Parliament but also the anti-Azerbaijan, which has become a tool in the hands of the Armenian Diaspora, acting at the request of some forces and their deputies who envies the achievements of the country, its independent policy and dynamic development during recent years. We understand well how hard the burden of refugees and IDPs is. Since, Azerbaijan has faced this refugee problem 23 years ago and it can closely relate to the situation which Europe faces today and the difficulties in solving it. The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev tries to constantly strengthen and expand bilateral relations with all the countries of the world, as well as the European Parliament. In fact that is well known to you, that the head of our country takes decisive steps by not fearing any threat and danger in the way to get rid of energy threat that is Europe suffering. In such a time, the adoption of such unfair resolution against our country is incomprehensible and provokes a logical question. We were actually expecting the concrete steps related to the fair solution of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict lasted for more than 23 years, defense of the rights of one million two hundred thousand people whose rights violated and at the same time, the actions related to the implementation of decisions adopted earlier, from international institutions, including the European Parliament. Unfortunately, it was the opposite of what we expected. However, each organization which is hostile to Azerbaijan, everyone should know that such ugly calumnies and unfair decisions cannot prevent our country from the holy way. Because, our way is way of truth, peace, reconciliation and tolerance. We haven't occupied the lands of any country and we haven't turn citizens into refugees and internally displaced persons. Our only wish is the restoration of justice, the liberation of our lands and return of our people to their own lands and lives there. As the Azerbaijani people, we, refugees and IDPs also demand from the European Parliament to demonstrate fair position and to cancel this unfair resolution adopted against Azerbaijan”.
