Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Ali Hasanov received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ismayil Alper Joshgun on February 13. At the meeting where the ideas regarding the general condition and the development of future relations were exchanged, the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov by bringing to attention the high level relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey established on the base of principles of mutual respect and beneficial cooperation pointed out that, the high-level relations between the leaders and people of two friendly and brotherly countries rest on historical roots. Speaking about Armenian-Azerbaijani and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict at the meeting, Ali Hasanov highly appreciated Turkey’s support in this field and expressed his regret over the fact that Armenia does not give up its aggressive policy and re-emphasized that this conflict is the most serious threat to the development of regional cooperation. Ali Hasanov who thanked to Ambassador due to the fact that fraternal Turkey didn’t remain indifferent to the fate of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev who were taken as a hostage by Armenian Armed Forces while going to Kalbajar to visit the graves of natives and called to the “court” with trumped-up charges by the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh and for support by Turkey related to this matter, deplored that since the Armenia's behavior towards hostages occurs before the eyes of the world, the International Organizations which have always defended interests of aggressor Armenia, have not objectively responded to appeals of the Azerbaijani side. Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome the Diplomat emphasized that both countries have great potential for the development of cooperation in all field and expressed his confidence in the use of existing opportunities in the future.
