The works on the settlement of the town for IDPs in the territory of Mingachevir are in rapid progress

The Deputy Prime Minister, the chairman of the State Committee on Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, Mr. Ali Hasanov visited the new block settled for IDPs in Mingachevir for getting acquaintance with a real condition of construction works in January 6. Monitoring the territory, Ali Hasanov with attendance of the representatives of relevant state institutions and construction companies as well as the heads of Mingachevir City Executive Power, the city’s electricity, gas, drinking water, heat system, telecommunications field departments and the head of athletes village and sport service department of “Baku-2015” First European Games Operation Committee, Donna Taylor, Operations manager of Canoe Athletes Village, Ismayil Zalov were interested in the current state of construction works in the new town, the works carried out up to the present, planned measures and gave concrete instructions to constructors for high quality and timely implementation of activities. It was stated that in relation to the execution of clause 1.7 of “Annexes” to “State Program for Improvement of living conditions of Refugees and IDPs and increase of employment” approved by the Decree dated July 1, 2004 of the President of Azerbaijan Republic made by Decree February 21, 2011, the works on the settlement of a town for IDPs in the territory of Mingachevir are in rapid progress. According to the project, 11 nine-storey, 594-flat buildings were constructed. 36 one-room apartments, 288 two-room apartments, 234 three-room, 36 four-room apartments are available. Besides the mentioned, the buildings were built for 480-seat school, 140-seat kindergarten, medical center, ATS building and community center in the territory. The Deputy Prime Minister, Ali Hasanov noted that boat races of “Baku-2015” First European Games will be held in Mingachevir in this summer. The participants of those races, sportsmen and representatives of teams will be settled in this newly constructed town. Ali Hasanov stated that he had held monitoring on the constructions works carried out in the new settlement with attendance of the representatives of “Baku-2015” First European Games Operation Committee and National Olympics Committee of Azerbaijan for several times. Continuing his speech, Ali Hasanov mentioned: “We have visited Mingachevir again and reviewed the state of fulfillment of competition organizers’ requirements in the new town. According to their speeches, the works in the territory are looking well. The necessary conditions is created for accommodation and training of sportsmen. We will deliver these buildings to Baku-2015” First European Games Operation Committee and National Olympics Committee of Azerbaijan at the beginning of March. I gave instructions to the heads of some service organizations of Mingachevir city on the creation of overall condition for sportsmen to be accommodated in this town during competitions. Necessary works will implemented for provision of guests’ visitors here. I think that construction works have already been finished in the town. The final works on the fields of construction works carried out in the internal areas of buildings and landscaping are implemented at present.
