President Ilham Aliyev participated in opening ceremony of the residential area constructed for IDPs families in Gabala.

   On 27th February President Ilham Aliyev visited the residential area constructed for IDPs in Zaraghan village of Gabala. Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for IDPs and Refugees Affairs Ali Hasanov informed that a residential area for IDPs families was constructed in the territory of Zaraghan municipality in accordance with the Additions made to the “State Program for improvement of IDPs and refugees living standards and increase their employment” by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated October 31, 2007. The construction of the residential are started in October of 2008 and finished in February of the current year. 2 five-storey buildings for 155 IDPs families temporarily settled in “Gafgaz” tourist center and “Lala” recreation center in the region and a school building for 188 students was constructed in the residential area covering 4 hectare area in total. One of the 5-storey buildings is 80-apartment and other one is 75-apartment. There are 30 single-room apartments, 70 two-room apartments and 55 three-room apartments in the buildings with total 10 thousand 946 square meter area. The required systems were provided for water, power and gas supply of the residential area. Gas line over 2 kilometer length, including 4 artesian wells and water supply line of 1,4 kilometer length was constructed in this area. Sewerage and heating systems were constructed, asphalt-concrete covering was installed and greenery was planted in the residential area. President Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the conditions created in the apartments.
