Ukraine wants to learn the practice of Azerbaijan for the settlement of the problem of internally displaced persons

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs, Chairman of the Republican Commission on International Humanitarian Aid Ali Hasanov met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to our country Alexander Mishchenko on October 20. Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of this conflict, improvement of their living conditions were discussed during the meeting. The Deputy Prime Minister mentioned that cooperation in all fields between two countries was built on a solid foundation. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his regret over the fact that the OSCE Minsk Group has made no progress in solving the conflict on the basis of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, within the framework of the norms of international law and in returning the refugees and IDPs to their lands and emphasized the importance of strengthening the efforts in the settlement process of the conflict and change in their activity. Ambassador highly appreciated rapid economic development of Azerbaijan, as well as the country`s increasing influence in the world in a short period of time and works done in the improvement of social conditions of refugees and IDPs in the country. Ambassador said that official Kiev wants to learn the practice of the government of Azerbaijan regarding internally displaced persons in order to resolve the problem of internally displaced persons arouse in connection with the events happened in Ukraine. He added that this issue is also one of the main purposes of the meeting
