Discussion of academician Ramiz Mehdiyev’s “Nagorno Karabakh: history read through sources” book was held

On September 24, event dedicated to the “Nagorno Karabakh: History Read through Sources” book authored by the Head of Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev was held in the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs. Speaking at the event Deputy Prime Minister of the Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov gave detailed information about the book. It was reported that all the facts, information in this book which was published in Moscow recently, were collected from original sources. It was noted that problems created by Armenians in region, tragedies committed by them, information about their history and present were described with facts by sufficient reasonable investigation in the book being purely a scientific research work. All these books are history and future generations will benefit from them. Ali Hasanov reminded that Azerbaijan people had difficulties in terms of learning true history since the rule of the Soviet Union and said that after the national leader Heydar Aliyev came back to the power, close attention was paid to these issues. It was noted that the history of almost past 200 years of Azerbaijan was written again just on the instructions of Nationwide Leader. This policy is also being conducted during the rule of the President Ilham Aliyev. Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that deplorable situation of Armenia in recent years, abandonment process prevailed in the country, were referred to in the publication. It was noted that a number of children born in Armenia in the last 10-15 years decreased twice. Ali Hasanov pointed out that population leaving the country on one hand and decrease of the children born on the other hand, forced Armenia to face with a threat of extinction. Head of the Executive Power of Gubadli District Malik Isagov said that numerous original sources and scientific publications were referred to in this valuable work based on indisputable facts, philosophical analysis. One of the advantages of the research is that completely foreign sources were used in this book. Director of the Human Rights Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, member of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Aytan Mustafayeva said that characteristics such as treachery, hypocrisy are the nature of Armenian people. She noted that writing of this book is an important step to expose the falsifications of Armenian. Corresponding member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, member of Milli Majlis Baxtiyar Aliyev said that this book is significant for the history of Azerbaijan. Sometimes Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict is described as a conflict of civilizations, religions. President Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly stated, every time international experts emphasize that Azerbaijan is an example of tolerance for the whole world. Representatives of the Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, deputies of Milli Majlis, and the heads of Executive Powers of occupied districts were present at the event
