On August 22, State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Deals of Refugees and IDPs held an event on “Care of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for refugees and IDPs”. The representatives of the Administration of President, the Cabinet of Ministers, deputies of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly), the heads of Executive Powers of the occupied districts, officials of the committee took part at the event. At first, participants of the event got acquainted with the photo exhibition about the care of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for refugees and internally displaced persons. Then film was demonstrated about the activities of the Foundation. Speaking at the event, the Deputy Prime Minster, Chairman of the State Committee on Deals of Refugees and IDPs Ali Hasanov talked about the establishment of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its activity, important works done by the Foundation. Ali Hasanov said that the Foundation always pays special attention and care to refugees and internally displaced persons, plays an important role in informing the world community about the realities of Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict. Deputy Prime Minister noted that the President of the Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva always pays special attention and care to the problems of internally displaced persons, meets with the internally displaced children in New Year celebrations each year, during each school year these children are provided with the schoolbags, school materials. It was mentioned that namely, at the initiative of the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mugham Center opened in Baku, the album of Karabakh singers, mugham festivals are held, Azerbaijan Culture Days are held in different countries, customs and traditions, national cuisine, music of our people are promoted widely. It was noted that 1500 internally displaced persons were participated in 4 mugham festivals held up to now. It is interesting that all singers who won the top three places were internally displaced persons. All of these show that the source and centre of mugham is Karabakh. Azerbaijan mugham, carpets, Novruz holiday, ashig music have been included to the intangible heritage list of UNESCO as a result of the works done by Mehriban Aliyeva. Generally, Heydar Aliyev Foundation has special role in the development of the culture of Azerbaijan, promotion of customs and traditions, education and health. Chairmen of “Azerbaijan Community of Nagorno Karabakh Region of the Republic of Azerbaijan” Public Association, head of the Executive Power of Shusha district Bayram Safarov, deputy of Milli Majlis Imamverdi Ismayilov made a speech and mentioned that large-scale international measures taken by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation are highly appreciated both in our country and abroad and said that these works were made possible through hard work. Internally displaced from Aghdam district, young mugham singer, winner of “Grand Prix” of TV mugham song contest Mirpasha Shukurov expressed his gratitude to Mehriban Aliyeva for paying special attention and care for the development of our mugham.
