On January 17, a fire broke out in a dormitory building located in the 22nd quarter of Sumgayit. The fire was extinguished by the fire protection units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Other residential areas have been protected from fire.
Immediately after receiving information about the fire, the officers of the relevant structural unit of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons were dispatched to the scene. An initial investigation revealed damage to the temporary residential area where 11 IDP families were residing.
At present, the leadership of the State Committee is at the scene, a census is being conducted. Appropriate measures will be taken.
The building affected by the fire housed 35 families temporarily.
The reasons for the fire are being investigated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the extent of the damage is being determined. After the investigation by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a final decision will be made, and corresponding legal actions will be taken based on the results.
