In accordance with the I State Program on the Great Return to the territories liberated from occupation, the State Committee for the Affairs of Refugees and IDPs arranged another information tour to the cities of Shusha and Lachin district as part of information, propaganda, and campaign activities for the return of IDPs to the newly constructed settlements.
Info tur participants were informed about the progress of implementation of the measures established in the First State Program and the tasks being implemented by President Ilham Aliyev. The visitors were informed that the extensive rebuilding and restoration projects carried out in Shusha under President Ilham Aliyev’s direction will guarantee that the effects of the invaders’ destruction of the city will be eliminated, allowing the long-displaced locals to soon return to their native country. The actions outlined in the State Program and implemented to revive the city are characterized by their consistency: in addition to the fast building of new residential areas, the city's infrastructure is also being rebuilt. In addition to visiting the Shusha Castle, the Mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque, the Isa spring, and the Jidir plain, the info tour participants learned about the renovation and construction projects underway in the city.
The Lachin region was the destination of the Info tur participants’ next trip. According to reports, the formerly internally displaced people are making their way back to their original countries following the extensive construction and restoration projects completed in the Lachin district’s Zabukh village and Lachin city. The info tour participants toured the newly created jobs and other infrastructural facilities in Lachin City, spoke with the locals, and learned about the living conditions of the returning people.
The visitors also went to the “Hochazfilm” creative studio’s filming pavilion, which was inaugurated in the Lachin region in August of this year with involvement from First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva and President Ilham Aliyev. The pavilion was decorated with unusual items like a three-sided green screen, an aero plane, a helicopter, a jail and a scientific lab. The info tour participants were more interested in this.
After this, the participants of the info tour got acquainted with the jobs created in the Lachin region - livestock farming, as well as the newly created Hakari fish farm. Visitors were told that the vast majority of those working at the workplaces were residents of the Lachin district.
Afterwards, the info tour attendees were the visitors of the Lachin inhabitants who had moved back. The village’s conditions have been met with satisfaction from the locals. In addition, the info tour participants went to the village of Zabukh and took videos there. They received answers to the questions they were curious about. Prominent authors, poets, writers, and investigative journalists took part in the information trip. The trip’s participants reported that the information tour was beneficial and fruitful. Informational tours of the liberated lands will continue under the auspices of the I State Program on the Great Return Action Plan.
