On November 23, another migration caravan, leaving the Garadagh district of Baku city, reached the Zabukh village of Lachin region. A ceremony was held to present the keys to their apartments to newly relocated families.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, the special mission of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin district, which is part of the East Zangezur economic region of the Republic of Azerbaijan and IDP Social Development Fund (IDPSDF) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Zabukh people who returned to their homeland thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for their comprehensive state care. They also expressed their gratitude to the brave Azerbaijani army, our heroic soldiers and officers who liberated our lands from occupation, wished mercy to our martyrs who died on this path, and patience to their families.
At this point, another 25 families - 93 people were moved to Zabukh village. Thus, the permanent settlement of 121 families, i.e. 475 people, was provided in Zabukh village of Lachin region.
