The return of IDPs to the restored and reconstructed Lachin city in accordance with the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev continues. On June 14, the next migrant caravan was sent to Lachin from “Gobu Park 3” residential complex in Garadagh district of Baku: 22 more families - 72 people experienced the joy of returning home.
The relocated families were selected from among the IDPs living in the most difficult conditions, mainly in Baku and Sumgayit cities, as well as in the temporary settlements of Absheron district. They will settle in the houses they once lived in in Lachin city, which, after the end of the occupation, were restored or rebuilt based on the instructions of the head of state.
The solution of the problems of IDPs is one of the priorities of state policy. The strategic line defined by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and continued by the honorable President Ilham Aliyev in this field is aimed at improving their living conditions, ensuring their social protection and employment, and is currently being implemented consistently. First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva also treats issues related to IDPs with special sensitivity and helps them solve their problems.
The return of IDPs to their native land voluntarily, safely and with dignity has been set as an important task. The work carried out during the revival of the liberated territories is gradually accelerating, the Great Return program is being implemented.
Residents of Lachin, which has become more beautiful and renovated, expressed their gratitude to the President, victorious Supreme Commander-In-Chief Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, the brave Azerbaijani army that liberated our lands from occupation, our heroic soldiers and officers for being surrounded by comprehensive state care.
Officials of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs, the special representation of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin region, which is part of the Eastern Zangazur economic region, and the Executive Power of Lachin region took part in the ceremony of sending families to Lachin.
Earlier, 20 families, that is, 97 people, were relocated to Lachin.
