President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva have visited Jabrayil and Gubadli districts.
The head of state attended the opening of the 14.2-kilometer Shukurbayli-Jabrayil section of the Shukurbayli-Jabrayil-Hadrut highway.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva viewed the projects of “Azerbaijan-Turkiye International Forestry Training Center”, “Smart Seedlings" and "Friendship Forest" Complex to be established in Jabrayil district.
The head of state and the First Lady attended the ceremony to release 18 gazelles to the territory of Jabrayil district under the implementation of reintroduction projects.
The head of state laid the foundation stone for the Digital Management Center of Jabrayil Power Network and viewed the construction works carried out at the 330/110 kilovolt international "Jabrayil" Junction Substation.
President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the projects of "Bargushadchay" and "Zabukhchay" reservoirs in Gubadli district, and laid the foundation stone for the Digital Management Center of Gubadli Power Network.
The master plan of Gubadli city was submitted to the head of state and the First Lady. President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Occupation and Victory Museums in Gubadli.

The 14.2-kilometre Shukurbayli-Jabrayil section of the Shukurbayli-Jabrayil-Hadrut highway has been inaugurated.

Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state of the technical indicators of the Shukurbayli-Jabrayil-Hadrut highway and the work done.
The four-lane highway is 39.7km in length and 14m in width. The construction of six bridges on the highway was completed.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended a groundbreaking ceremony of the 35 kV substation and Digital Management Center owned by “Azerishig” OJSC in Jabrayil.
The head of state laid the foundation stone for the substation and Digital Management Center.
The Digital Management Center will be fed from the 110/35/10 kV Jabrayil substation.

President of AzerEnergy Open Joint Stock Company Baba Rzayev informed the head of state of the “Jabrayil” Junction Substation.
The substation, the foundation of which was laid four months ago, has undergone the stages of ground disturbance, construction and installation. Canals for underground communications have been built, most of the work in the 330 and 110 kilovolt open distribution facilities has been completed, and the building of the Digital Management Center has been constructed.
Informing about the importance of the “Jabrayil” Junction Substation, Baba Rzayev said that it would ensure the supply of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur regions with sustainable electricity, meet the demand of megaprojects to be implemented, connect into the Jabrayil-Nakhchivan-Aghri (Turkiye) substation and further to Europe through Turkiye's energy system. It will be possible to gain additional and more favorable access to energy markets, increase export opportunities, and connect the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic to the general energy system of Azerbaijan after many years. In particular, the construction of the 330-kilovolt Jabrayil substation is of tremendous importance for the transfer of energy produced in the Khudafarin and Giz Galasi hydropower plants, jointly built with Iran, as well as alternative and renewable energy sources, to the general energy system of Azerbaijan.
A 3-stage planning was carried out for the realization of the Azerbaijan-Turkiye-Europe cross-country international project, which is of international importance and is of interest to many countries. At the first stage, the 330 kilovolt Aghjabadi and Imishli substations, which are located closest to the territories liberated from occupation, will be expanded and completely reconstructed, and high-voltage electricity lines will be installed in Jabrayil, 132 kilometers from the Aghjabadi substation and 130 kilometers from the Imishli substation. Construction of a 330 kilovolt line from the Aghjabadi substation to Jabrayil has already started.
At the same time, most of the work has been done on the 330 kilovolt junction substation in Jabrayil.
At the second stage, in order to connect Nakhchivan with the main energy system of the country, a 255-kilometer double-circuit power transmission line will be built from the “Jabrayil” Junction Substation to the Autonomous Republic, crossing the Zangazur corridor, and a 330 kilovolt Nakhchivan substation will be built.
At the third stage, in order to create an energy hub of Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, Turkiye and Europe, an additional 400 kilovolt converter substation will be built in accordance with European energy standards to convert 330 to 400 kilovolts in the territory of the Autonomous Republic close to the fraternal country, and a 230-kilometer double-circuit power transmission line will be built from Nakhchivan to Turkiye. This will be a project of great strategic importance.
A presentation on the export and transit prospects of Azerbaijan's energy system was shown at the event.

Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev informed the head of state and the First Lady of the master plan of the city of Gubadli.
The master plan was prepared by the Swiss “sa_partners” firm and Baku State Design Institute.
The Gubadli Occupation and Victory museums complex will consist of the Occupation Museum, Victory Museum and the Memorial Park. The complex will cover an area of nearly 3 hectares.
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva laid the foundation stone for the Occupation and Victory museums complex.
