Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs Rovshan Rzayev met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Azerbaijan James Sharp.
Views were exchanged on the return of IDPs to the liberated territories at the meeting. The British diplomat was informed in detail about the measures taken by the President Ilham Aliyev to address the problems of IDPs. It was stated that the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva also pays special attention and care to this category of citizens.
The Ambassador James Sharp thanked for the warm welcome. He highly appreciated the end of the conflict in the region and the creation of favorable conditions for the return of IDPs to their permanent places of residence, and spoke about his country`s opportunities to support long-lasting peace.
Issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
