Purposeful measures to improve the housing and living conditions and provide social protection of IDPs are being continued consistently during the quarantine applied in our country regarding the COVID-19 pandemic as well under the instructions of the President Ilham Aliyev.
Implementation of the instructions given by the country government in this regard was discussed in the next board meeting of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons held on August 7 by teleconference.
It was noted that the relocation of IDPs to Gobu Park-3 residential complex consisting of 1336 apartments, which was opened this year on May 28 with participation of the President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, was almost completed.
The head of our state got personally acquainted with the progress of construction work in residential complexes made for IDPs in Absheron and Samukh, construction of which were underway.
The instruction given by the President Ilham Aliyev on relocation of more than 7000 internally displaced families to new apartments this year is being implemented, and work is being carried out rapidly at construction sites.
Reports of relevant structures on the progress of preparations for the autumn-winter season, current situation in the provision of utility services to IDPs, improvement of e-services in the settlements on the balance of the Housing Maintenance Department of the committee and other issues were listened to at the board meeting. Necessary measures were identified on the issues discussed, and specific instructions were given for their implementation.
At the same time, the importance of paying special attention to each appeal of IDPs in the current quarantine conditions was underlined. It was stated that the reception of senior officers of the committee will continue in audio-video format during the current situation, where it is necessary to limit physical contact.
