Protection of the health of the country citizens is one of the main directions of the state social policy. In accordance with this policy, the health system is being developed and the network of new and modern health centers is being expanded. Every year, the people of the republic undergo common medical examination by the instruction of the President Ilham Aliyev. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva and Heydar Aliyev Foundation managed by her pay great attention and care to the solution of health problems of citizens in particular need of the social protection.

Like all segments of the population, refugees and IDPs also have the opportunity to use the services of public healthcare facilities. Medical centers were commissioned in settlements and residential complexes built for them as well. In addition, at the initiative of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, by the organization of the Ministry of Health, recently IDPs have been involved in specialized medical examination directly in places of temporary shelter.       

As the State Committee attaches importance to the protection of IDPs, it also supports their participation in humanitarian actions. At the beginning of this year, the committee held a blood donation action for motherland guards - military servicemen. A similar action was organized on March 13th at 866-family residential complex in Barda. Physician-hemotologists of special medical brigade of Barda department of the Central Blood Bank together with the medical staff of the region central hospital received blood samples from the volunteer donors after examining them. Collected samples will be used to treat IDPs suffering from heritable blood diseases. 

Yunis Mammadov, the representative of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs in Barda and Surkhay Huseynov, the head of Housing and Utilities Sector were activele participated in organization of the action.

Such actions will also be organized in other settlements of Barda where IDPs live.
