The Ministry of Health organized a medical examination of IDPs in Tartar on March 7 at the initiative of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs. The purpose of the medical action is to provide IDPs with the opportunity to use high quality healthcare service in the area they live.
Protection of the health of the people in Azerbaijan is of the priorities of the state`s social policy. For this purpose, healthcare system is being improved and developed, and effective measures are being taken to provide quality healthcare services to citizens. Every year the people of the republic are involved in comprehensive medical examination by the instruction of the President Ilham Aliyev. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva and Heydar Aliyev Foundation which managed by her have great services in the examination and treatment of people with particular need for social protection.
The doctor brigade consisting of 19 people of the Republican Clinical Hospital named after Academician M.A.Mirgasimov was sent to Tartar in order to examine IDPs. Highly qualified doctors examined internally displaced patients in the Central Hospital which was fully supplied with the necessary equipment. More then 600 IDPs temporarily settled in Tartar and surrounding areas were involved in the examination. It was found out that one of the people who came to the examination needed urgent surgical intervention and he/she was operated immediately. 15 people were provided with referrals to Baku. Doctors had conversations with IDPs on the key points of healthy lifestyle and the risk factors which cause diseases. Then the State Committee staff and doctors of the Clinical Hospital visited the IDPs who are recumbent patients and cared about their health.
Medical actions have been organized in “Gobu Park” at Garadagh district of Baku, residential complex at Mushfigabad, Mehdiabad settlement of Binagadi district and Naftalan city by now at the initiative of the State Committee. Such actions are planned to be held in other regions as well.
