A health action was held in Yeni Chalabikhan settlement built for IDPs in Shaki at the initiative of the Territorial Representative Office of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, and organized by Shaki City Central Hospital management. The medical team consisting of 11 doctors with different qualifications examined, provided assistance and consultation to residents of the settlement. It was noted that the development of the health sector in our country is one of the main directions of the state policy in the social sphere. The construction and commissioning of new medical facilities and supplying them with the most advanced equipment, increasing the professional level of health professionals serve to the protection of health of the population. Each citizen can receive free treatment and examination by applying to state hospitals. The President Ilham Aliyev always keeps the solution of social problems of IDPs, including provision of them with medical care in the center of attention. Heydar Aliyev Foundation, managed by the First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, sensitively addresses the needs of IDPs as well as all citizens, provides assistance to arrangement of their examination and treatment, and implementation of complicated surgical procedures. At the instruction of the head of state, new medical centers are being established and put into use in the new settlements built for IDPs. IDPs were given the opportunity to undergo examination on stomatological, cardiological, endocrinological and other diseases. The team of doctors examined more than 100 IDPs. Patients with severe conditions and those needing surgical procedure were provided with referrals to hospitals in Baku. The next health action in Shaki is planned to be held in Turan settlement where internally displaced families live.
