The State Committee for Refugees and IDPs provided the pupils of the complete secondary school named after the martyr Novruz Aslanov from Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrayil region which was liberated from the occupation with school uniforms. School uniforms were presented to pupils at the event on Knowledge Day held on September 15. Head of Jabrayil Region Executive Power Kamal Hasanov congratulated the teachers, pupils and parents on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year and said that Jojug Marjanli is a symbol of the irreversible path of the Azerbaijani people and the “Great Return” to our occupied lands. Following the liberation from the occupation, the village was restored and provided with all necessary infrastructures by the relative orders of the President Ilham Aliyev, and there are not bullet sounds anymore, but the sound of school bell and adhan in the village. People who moved to their native lands live in safe and comfortable conditions. Purposeful measures are being taken to ensure their employment. It should be noted that although Jojug Marjanli village was occupied by Armenian armed forces in August 1993, it was liberated during the successful Horadiz operation carried out by our troops in January 1994 under the leadership of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. However, it was impossible to live for a civilian population in the village because of the enemy position at the nearby Lalatapa hill. Only after that hill was liberated by our heroic warriors in April 2016, the existing threat was eliminated. The return of internally displaced persons to Jojug Marjanli continues.
