On July 19, the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs organized an information tour for a group of journalists at “Gobu Park” residential complex. The purpose of the event dedicated to the 22nd of July - the National Press Day was to allow media representatives to get more detailed information on the work done to improve the housing and living conditions of IDPs. The Chairman of the State Committee Rovshan Rzayev congratulated all media workers on the occasion of this holiday and wished them success in their creative activities while meeting with the participants of the event. He also informed about the measures taken to address the social problems of refugees and IDPs, improve their housing and living conditions and ensure their employment. It was noted that the State Committee treats in a particularly sensitive way to the appeals of IDPs temporarily settled in all regions of the country, and takes all necessary measures based on the existing legislation for thorough investigation and solution of the issues that concern them under the instruction of the President Ilham Aliyev. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva always keeps the implementation of projects allowing IDPs to move from damaged and life-threatening buildings and structures to new apartments under control. The recently commissioned “Gobu Park” residential complex is one of such projects. State funds were not spent for the construction of the complex built at the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Entrepreneurs were involved in financing the project. Later, the information tour participants who came to “Gobu Park” residential complex got acquainted with the state of accommodation of the IDP families and the conditions created for them. Journalists walked around the territory of the complex, looked at apartments, infrastructure facilities and talked to the IDPs. Responsible staff of the State Committee answered the questions of media representatives.
