The Chairman of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDPs met with the President of the Youth Assistance Foundation Ahmet Tecim. The Chairman of the Committee Rovshan Rzayev underlined the high level of relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries in all spheres and spoke about the measures taken to address the problem of refugees and IDPs in our country. He mentioned the humanitarian aid provided by Turkey to refugees and IDPs following the occupation of our territories and expressed his gratitude for this support. R.Rzayev noted that there are wide opportunities for non-governmental organizations to operate in Azerbaijan, and stressed the importance of public support for resolving the problems of refugees and IDPs. He said that the policy pursued by the President Ilham Aliyev is focused on the well-being of the country`s citizens, including IDPs. Consistent measures are being taken to improve the housing and living conditions of our compatriots from this category. The First Vice President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva always keeps those measures in the center of attention and attaches great care to the issue of providing IDPs with new apartments. The President of the Youth Assistance Foundation Ahmet Tecim informed about the activities of the organization. He underlined that the Foundation has been implementing projects related to IDPs along with war veterans, martyr families. He mentioned that they met local residents in Jojug Marjanli during the holy month of Ramadan, and got closely acquainted with the conditions created therein. The issues of mutual interest were discussed at the meeting.
