On May 29, Rovshan Rzayev, the Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, met with Erkan Ozoral, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the State Committee underlined that the relations between the two friendly and brotherly countries are at the high level in all spheres, and expressed confidence that these relations will further develop. He spoke about the achievements made by Azerbaijan, measures taken to address the problems of refugees and IDPs in our country. He said that the solution of social problems of refugees and IDPS is always in the spotlight of the President Ilham Aliyev. Consistent and purposeful measures are being taken in this direction at the initiative of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva. Rovshan Rzayev recalled the humanitarian aid made by the brotherly country Turkey for the refugees and IDPs during the occupation of our territories and thanked for that support. Erkan Ozoral, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan expressed his gratitude for the sincere meeting and detailed information. Expressing his congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the ambassador underlined that the achievements made by Azerbaijan in all spheres are a source of pride for Turkey as well. He said he will use all reasonable endeavors to further strengthen the effective cooperation between the two countries during his activity in Azerbaijan. The Chairman of the State Committee wished the ambassador success in his future activities to expand the cooperation between our countries. The issues related to the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, problems of refugees and IDPs, as well as prospects of further cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
